The Donald Ross Course at the French Lick Springs Resort is a time honored impeccably maintained championship layout - rated 4 stars by Golf Digest Places to Play - that hosted the 1924 PGA Championship, won by Walter Hagen. Extremely rolling terrain provides significant elevation changes from tee to green.
The Donald Ross Course underwent extensive renovations (4.6 million dollars worth) to both the course and clubhouse facilities, which now include a beautiful pro shop plus Hagen's restaurant. The Tom Bendelow designed 9-hole Valley Links Course is situated adjacent to the course. The property also includes the gorgeous and upscale Pete Dye Course . The resort itself underwent complete renovations, and together with the West Baden Springs Hotel, provides upscale accommodations, a full casino, and 2 spas. Directions:
From Indianapolis - take 37 south to Paoli; go west on Hwy 56 for 10 miles to the resort, then 3 more miles west to the Hills clubhouse.
